HERE IS WHAT WE CAN DO There seems to be an increase in car break-ins in the area. Here are some things that we can do to help: 1. Get to know your neighbors. Knock on their door and introduce yourself or organize a block party. If you know who belongs in the neighborhood, you’ll be able to better spot the people that don’t belong. 2. Keep your eyes open. If you notice something fishy, ask questions or report it. 3. Keep all valuables out of your car and keep your car doors locked– if possible, park in your garage. Post an “All Valuables Removed” sign in your car window. 4. Many people neglect to lock the door going from the garage into the house. Let’s keep this one locked too. 5. If you are a victim of a crime, report it. The police can’t help if they don’t know about the issue.
